Bennet – All creatures now are merry-minded (1601)

This madrigal was composed by the English Renaissance composed John Bennet who came from either Cheshire or Lancashire and settled in London.

It is the fifth of twenty-five madrigals in the 1601 collection ‘The Triumphs of Oriana’, which celebrated Elizabeth I. Other composers in the collection include Tomkins, Mundy, Morley, Wilbye and Weelkes.
